summary:
holy titty deep snow drifts batman!! stuck festival 2010 went down in
history.
little late on this, but whats new?
We had a super long and radical day of riding powder Saturday riding
9am to 5pm, we got stuck, we rallied hard and we got stuck some more..
perfect day of deep powder riding! When we arrived and unloaded, snow
was nuking down still, this continued well past noon i think so the
visibility wasn't the best but 4 to 5 feet of powder was the
best.. blower, light, fluffy goodness.. made downhill carving
effortless but blinding.. thats the fun part though!
before we roll onto the pictures i wanna thank Tommy for taking them
all.. most the rest of us failed, i guess when its nuking out, its cold
and tough to break out the camera, but Mr Tom is always determined to
get the shots.. i failed, hard to stop riding at times ;)
ok on with the media.
snowman owned the first stuck of the day.. holy cow though, the wind
drifts were 3x bigger than just a couple days prior because the wind
and snowstorm that nuked the hill was pretty fierce for over 24 hours..
so, just when u thought u'd go the normal route over a small drift it
was HUGE!!
Example: this was just 3 feet high on wed.. after storm 7 feet..

so, we get him out of stuck zone and carry on with our powder
destruction.. or was the powder destroying us?
like this picture. the powder monster is eating the snowman!! mmmm
powder hungry, must eat snowman..

onward we rally, powder powder powder.. this stuff is deeeeeeep!!
Jesse poppa wheelie

we made our way over to monster bowl for some more destruction.. this
place is always fun until we track it out..

snowman had the honor of rocking swappy's sled today and man, he rocked
it good.. never seen anyone ride a yamaha like he did.. thanks swappy!

re-group think out our next plan of attack while enjoying a delicious
well deserved beer.. it was close enough to noon i reckon..
here we have the G'Bros, theys funny guys they must all be related.

bluebird showed up!!! uh huh.. yep.. bout as blue bird as this day was
gonna get..

snowman lays another one down before we head to the next zone

ok.. on we roll.. out to the swan lake area.. but before we roll down
tino the lake zone we came across the upper lake zone with no tracks
around so we dropped packs here for a few and destroyed what we could
before moving on..
MattG killing it per the norm

more of that maniac

ok, a few more stucks and another nuking flurry rolled thru and cleared
out, then onward to the bowls we went..
the bubbas were thick in this zone but we managed to still pull over
into the upper section they were not hitting and commence more
destruction
Jesse pulled the line over into the pillow section.. hella fun!

mmmm pillows!

Ok Jonny's turn.. pillow fun to deeeeep powder madness

this pillow section on lookers right under the cliffs was all fresh
until we rolled into it.. fun little section.

move on over a little bit to a different hill and do some boondocking i
think we will do..
MattG on it again..

one last foto op.. i'm in there some where.. thanks to tommy for being
on the photo taking.. the rest of us failed in that dept.

the crew.. cooked at the end of the day.. and we still had a nice long
ride out..

snowman ultra cooked nap time

one last look at this upper zone we have snowboarded before and out we
go

what a killer day.. better late than never i'd say on the winter
delivering sick powder in spring.. i'll take it!!
storming again this week. where we going this weekend?
thanks for a killer day bros!
